Mrs Swart is the new property manager at Harbour City and owner Cecily Robertson said she provided extensive knowledge and expertise, having worked in regional areas of Australia and Bunbury.

“The wealth of knowledge and expertise from a highly educated and conversant property manager is a bonus for our company,” she said.

“The Ladies in Red (property management team) are already benefiting from her mentoring and tutoring for their various roles within the property management team,” Mrs Cecily Robertson said.

Mrs Swart moved to Australia with her family from South Africa six years ago and is a fully qualified microbiologist.

However, that line of work did not fit in with her new family routine and found opportunities in property management.

“I jumped in the deep end with property management but I found I really liked it,” she said.

Mrs Swart said she loves the work because it is different everyday and is challenging.

“I like to ring up owners to catch up and maintain a good relationship with them– I think that is important,” she said.

Mrs Cecily Robertson said that Mrs Swart’s relationship with clients was one of the many things she liked about her.

“Communication is one of the areas we are constantly looking at improving and all owners know how important this is for a good relationship with their property manager,” she said.

Mrs Swart moved from another agency to Harbour City Real Estate around three months ago, attracted by a work ethos that matched her own.

“The structure within the office allows me to offer a different level of service which I feel is better”, she said.
