THE Bunbury Chamber of Commerce and Industries continue to improve their energy efficiency with new LED downlights.
The lights were donated by new chamber member McCormick’s Lighting owner who have produced a unique design in downlights.
The chamber’s chief executive Andrew Horan said he was excited that McCormick’s Lighting owner was on board as a new member as well as the assistance in making the chamber more energy efficient.
“The new lights will half our energy consumption in the reception area,” he said.
McCormick’s Lighting owner Geoff Lipton has been researching and developing energy saving lights for three years.
Mr Lipton has produced a new product called Clean Beam that has an 80 per cent energy saving rating.
Mr Lipton said that the product is unique because of the elegant design of the lights as well as the affordability.
“A lot of people think that LED lights are expensive and unaffordable so I wanted to make a product that anyone could buy,” he said.
Mr Lipton said that the Clean Beam light includes a magnifying lens which creates better light compared to other LED products.
