MARKETS: As the calendar New Year approaches, the Bunbury Trotting Club and Bunbury Multicultural Group are gearing up to celebrate the festivities of something entirely different.
Although not widely celebrated around the South West, Chinese New Year is popular throughout the world.
It will be the Year of the Dragon and the Bunbury Trotting Club are planning an entire race event around the festivities.
The event is expected to draw large crowds with exotic tastes and multicultural experiences.
The year of the Rabbit celebrations drew big crowds earlier this year and Bunbury Trotting Club manager Julie Caldwell expects the upcoming event to be of similar success.
“The Bunbury Trotting Club is hoping that Bunbury’s multicultural community will get behind this celebration,” she said.
Audiences will not be short of entertainment with a number of stalls and buskers set to bring the event to life.
Ensure you do not miss out on this multicultural experience when the Bunbury Trotting Club celebrates Chinese New Year on January 21.
