Blood thirsty plant takes to the stage

28 Oct, 2009 09:37 AM
HE’S mean, green and hungry for your spleen.

Audrey II, a 3 metre tall plant that required five puppeteers and a voice artist to bring it to life takes charge in the Bunbury Musical Comedy Group’s production of Little Shop of Horrors.

The play tells the story of a nerdy unlucky in love florist Seymour Krelbourn, who stumbles across a strange looking fly-trap that suddenly gives his run down flower shop on Skid Row some celebrity status.

This stage adaptation of the cult-movie and Broadway musical features the hits like Downtown (On Skid Row), Suddenly Seymour, Somewhere That’s Green and You’ll Be A Dentist, performed by some of Bunbury’s best theatrical talent.

Little Shop of Horrors premieres this Saturday and runs until November 14.

Tickets are available now through BREC Ticketing on 1300 661 272.
