BUNBURY will be treated to some of the world’s finest live musicians following the announcement of an eclectic line-up for this year’s Groovin’ the Moo festival.
The regional festival will enter its third year and the upcoming event has delivered its biggest line-up yet.
Ten international acts will grace our city with a bolstering array of Australian talent in tow for the May 19 event.
Legendary hip-hop crew Public Enemy spearheads the line-up while Canadian one-man-act City and Colour will bring a softer side to the festival.
German dance act Digitalism is a sure-fire crowd-pleaser while UK rockers the Kaiser Chiefs are renowned for their live music chops.
Groovin’ the Moo promoter Stephan Halpin said organisers wanted to give audiences a taste of a variety of genres.
“We tried to bring a whole collection of bands to regional Australia,” he said.
“This year we’ve tried to have well-known bands and throw in a few new bands too.”
Mr Halpin said the line-up provided an ideal mix of popular and unique musicians for the audience to “come away with new experiences”.
The promoter said three of the current top five ARIA singles were created by artists in this year’s line-up.
Mr Halpin commented on the relaxed vibe of the Bunbury event as it marked the last leg of the five-stop regional tour.
“Bunbury becomes a real party event backstage,” he said.
According to the promoter, the manager of popular act Art vs Science said the Bunbury show at last year’s festival was one of the best they had played.
Australia is also well-represented with man-of-the-moment 360, soulful songwriter Matt Corby, dance extraordinaire Muscles and heavy rockers Parkway Drive.
Tickets for the all-ages festival go on sale on February 16 for $99.90 from Moshtix.
