Stolen car wrecked after police chase

07 Jan, 2009 02:45 PM
A STOLEN car crashed through a street light and ended up in the middle of Eelup Roundabout after a short police chase early this afternoon.

A man and a juvenile fled the wrecked car but were caught a short time later by police.

The impact of the crash was so great the car’s back panel along with its spoiler were found more than 70 metres from the car on the other side of the roundabout.

Police were involved in a short pursuit with the Mitsubishi Lancer, which was believed to have been stolen from Donnybrook earlier in the day.
