THE 21-year-old killer of Lawrence William Thomas Dix was released on parole today on strict conditions that he does not enter Dalyellup or a number of other towns and locations.
Jack Benjamin Hall pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was originally sentenced to four years and three months in jail after he shot teenage Dix in his driveway in 2007.
It followed a dispute over a $100 drug debt.
In the Bunbury Mail on Wednesday Lawrence’s parents, Annette and Steve Dix, said they had pleaded with the Prisoner Review Board not to allow Hall to return to Bunbury.
They said they were still trying to come to terms with their loss.
Hall was directed to not enter the towns and suburbs of Dallyelup, Mundaring, Bullsbrook and Boddington.
He must also not go near a number of Bunbury locations, including Victoria Street and the South West Regional College of TAFE.
