TAEKWONDO: Young Ross Delport has been named Taekwondo Central's club champion for the best competitor out of 250 members.
The eight-year-old from Dalyellup Ocean Forest Lutheran College amazed people both in and out of the club with his ability.
Ross won Australian Champion for forms and Australian bronze at sparring, backing up State titles he won in 2006.
"Ross originally joined up our Little Dragons program, but when we saw his amazing athleticism we put him to train with the bigger kids to further encourage his growth and it certainly paid off," head instructor Justin Warren said.
One of the highlights of the Australian Championships for Ross was when the Australian patterns team selector asked Ross to demonstrate some techniques.
The selector was so impressed he handed Ross his business card.
Ross now has his name cemented in club history along with previous winners Ben Jerez, Rebecca Smith (2 times), Amy Fortescue, Erin Bezant, Matthew Jones and Greg Ventris.
Congratulations to Matthew Wilson, Kyle Hayes, Ashley AJ Howlett, Roberta Worrall, Nigel Heidt, Lorelle Klumpp, Jasmine Klumpp, Jake Klumpp and Branden Madaffarri who also won major awards on the night.
