A 20-YEAR-OLD Bunbury woman was beat unconscious while jogging in Marlston Hill yesterday.
The woman was running along Baudin Terrace about 5.30pm when a man stopped her and asked for money.
When she kept running, she was hit from behind and fell down.
Police believe she may have been hit a second time.
The woman was found unconscious by another runner who alerted a nearby house.
St John's Ambulance attended the scene and the woman was treated for injuries to her head and face at Bunbury Regional Hospital.
South West Detectives officer-in-charge senior sergeant Jon Munday said robbery was believed to be the motive behind the attack.
The man was described to have been wearing dark clothing.
The woman has now returned home from hospital.
