Family shaken after car crashes into Dalyellup home

A DALYELLUP mother and her young son were shaken when a car smashed through the front of their house on Monday afternoon.

Ashlee Gentry said she was sitting in the back room of the house watching television about 3pm when she heard what she thought was an earthquake.

The driver of a Toyota Landcruiser was turning left when the car crashed into the home on the corner of Murtin Road and Milesi Bend about 3pm.

The vehicle came to a stop in between the garage and front lounge room.

Bunbury police officer-in-charge senior sergeant Peter Jenal said he was unsure what caused the driver to crash but police had received information the driver was unwell.

The driver was taken to Bunbury Regional Hospital with a suspected concussion.

Ms Gentry said she was “very lucky” as she was usually in the front of the home at that time of day.
