THE language programs at Bunbury Catholic College are set to improve after the school received a $50,000 grant from the Catholic Education Office of Western Australia.
The grant will be used to purchase resources for the school’s Indonesian and Italian language classes as well as professional learning experiences for the staff.
Italian teachers Laura Whitfield said a key feature to language education was to make language a more academically rigorous subject.
The school took their first group of students on a study tour of Italy and the school anticipate this program to continue.
