IPHONE enthusiasts braved a cold, wet and early morning to be the first people in Bunbury to have the new iPhone 5c and 5s.
The new phone models were launched across the country this morning.
The iPhone 5s is an upgrade from the previous iPhone 5 and is available in gold, silver or black.
Features on the phone include interactive multitasking and a fingerprint reader.
The iPhone 5c was also launched this morning and is available in blue, coral pink, white, green and yellow.
Fans lined up at the Bunbury Forum Telstra store before the 8am launch to be the first to have their hands on the new device.
First in line was Australind man Tony Worden followed by Australind woman Julianne Ward.
Both residents arrived at the Bunbury Forum at 6.30am to make sure they would beat the crowd.
“I wanted to be the first person with one,” Mr Worden laughed.
“And I don’t mind being the second,” Ms Ward added.
Mr Worden said he already had the iPhone 5 but that did not stop him getting the upgraded phone.
Both phones have access to Telstra’s upgraded 4G network.
Telstra's South West manager Boyd Brown said Telstra’s focus was to have superior network coverage and speed for the customers.
He said by the end of the year Telstra would have installed 300 extra 4G towers across the country including in areas such a Collie, Manjimup and Dunsborough.
