LOCAL residents are being encouraged to have their say about the future development of Withers as part of efforts to create an urban renewal strategy for the suburb.
People will be able to share their thoughts by completing a survey or attending a community consultation session.
South West Development Commission chief executive officer Don Punch encouraged people to take up the opportunity to have their ideas for improving Withers heard.
“We want to know what you think about Withers and how it could be improved for the future,” he said.
Mr Punch said community input will be valuable in creating a pathway forward.
“At the end of this process, we want to have a plan that reflects the values and wishes of the community that we can use to guide the development of Withers in the years ahead,” he said.
Surveys can be picked up from the Withers Library, Hudson Road Family Centre and South West Sports Centre or completed online at www.yoursaybunbury.com.au
Withers residents will also find the survey leaflet in today’s Bunbury Mail.
A community forum will also be held on August 20 from 7pm at the Hudson Road Family Centre.
