A 19-year-old inmate at Wooroloo Prison Farm has been charged over the death of fellow inmate Troy Allan Roginson.
Mr Roginson died in Royal Perth Hospital on Wednesday after he was admitted on Monday night following an alleged assault at the prison farm.
The inmate has been charged with unlawful assault causing death and will be remanded in custody.
The 19-year-old is scheduled to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.
