CREATING a beautiful garden is a serious business for Eaton’s Bethanie Fields Garden Club and now they want to share their passion with the community.
The aged care village will host a Garden Ramblers Open Day this Sunday, April 27, allowing the public to experience life at blossoming Bethanie Fields.
Village resident and Garden Club founder Jacqui Thorpe said she was excited to share a beautiful and lovingly tended to garden with the local community.
“All 96 members of the Bethanie Fields Garden Club are thrilled to see the beautiful garden succeed, despite a lack of rainfall and a slight problem with our sprinklers,” she said.
The Bethanie Fields Garden club conducts six trips a year to visit gardens around Australia at open day’s similar to this one.
“Gardens have a knack of bringing people together, which is exactly what this garden has done and will continue to do,” Mrs Thorpe said.
The public will be treated to refreshments from 10am to 4pm, morning and afternoon tea for $3, soup lunch at the Clubhouse for $5, a giant raffle and massive plant sale throughout the day.
