Woman robbed in Bunbury hospital car park

A 40-YEAR-OLD woman was threatened and robbed by a man in the car park at the South West Health Campus last night.

South West Detectives are investigating the robbery which took place about 6pm.

The victim was sitting in her vehicle in the car park when she was approached by a man on a bicycle.

The man demanded the victim’s bag and threatened to shoot her if she did not comply.

The victim did not see a firearm but believed the suspect was holding a handgun under his jacket.

The victim handed over her wallet and the suspect rode off towards Bussell Highway.

Detectives wish to speak with anyone who may have information regarding the offence.

They are particularly interested to hear from a woman who rang the St John of God Hospital shortly before the offence, to report a suspicious male person on a bicycle.

They also wish to speak with the occupants of a white Commodore parked next to the victim’s vehicle, a silver Astra, at the time.
