All day parking boost in Bunbury CBD

THE City of Bunbury has introduced more long term parking available in the CBD after receiving feedback from residents.

About 50 parking bays in Wellington and Symmons Streets have been converted to all-day parking.

Residents and visitors can now pay $3.60 to park near the centre of the CBD all day.

The new bays will also be easy to spot with new signs placed on the streets.

Those who want to park all day can pay at the nearest ticket machine or with iPark.

To use iPark register online at http://www.cashlessparking.com.au/

Once registered you can pay for parking with your mobile phone or over the internet.

City of Bunbury deputy mayor Stephen Craddock said the changes were great news and a positive response to the public’s request for more all day parking in the CBD.

The news comes as more and more people are taking advantage of the City’s all-day parking being developed on the foreshore opposite the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre and at Cobblestone Drive near the Bunbury Rowing Club.

Together with the 100 bay all-day car park on Ocean Drive that was constructed at the start of this year, there are now 90 more bays available in the CBD.

The changes are part of The City of Bunbury’s plan to make parking easier and more accessible in the CBD.
