IT will be lights, camera, and action at the St Augustine’s community centre on Sunday, August 3 as the Bunbury Bel Canto Singers present an Afternoon at the Movies.
The concert is held at the centre every year with all proceeds going to YouthCARE.
The afternoon will feature songs from popular musicals South Pacific, Oklahoma and The Lion King.
During the rehearsal on Saturday, the choir were singing tunes from Mamma Mia and Dancing Queen would have blown the socks off of anyone who happened to walk past.
For lovers of good music and entertainment the Afternoon at the Movies choir performance is the place to be.
President Judyth Salom said the afternoon is always an exciting one and will hark back to movie days of old with a lolly girl handing out paper bags with sweets.
“We did really well last year filling 150 seats – it promises to be a great show” she said.
Ms Salom also said the community choir is always looking for new performers who wish to embrace their singing talent.
Tickets will be available at the door for $15 with children free and the performance starting at 1.30pm.
