A GROUP of Bunbury woman are better prepared to look after themselves after participating in a self-defence class.
Offered by the Zonta Club of Bunbury, the class was part of Zonta’s international campaign to stop violence against women.
The workshop featured a talk by community police officer Stephanie Smith and a hands-on session with Tae Kwon Do instructor Justin Warren.
The ladies involved learnt self-defence techniques such as kicks, strikes and how to break a hold.
It is the second year the course has been run.
