A NEW office lifestyle development in Marlston Hill will bring Bunbury up to speed with high-end Perth office complexes and bring a new product to the region’s market.
The development plans have been unveiled by two well-known Bunbury businessmen, Perkins Builders principal Dan Perkins and Summit Realty South West principal Greg Gardiner.
Their Coast Road Development Company’s plans for 36 Casuarina Drive would see the development built between the Marlston Waterfront Precinct and the Bunbury CBD – a site locals would be familiar with as the former home of The Shed.
Branded Marlston 36 and designed by architects Meyer Shircore, the proposed development would offer mixed uses of offices and apartment living to a standard only seen before in capital cities.
Commercial Realty director of commercial sales and leasing Geoff Hill, who is the selling agent for the development, said concepts like “end-of-trip facilities” were largely unseen in WA as little as five years ago but were now fairly common-place in high-end Perth office complexes.
It will be the first time a development of this calibre has been on offer in Bunbury, effectively delivering a new product to the local market.

The facilities, including parking, lockers, bike racks and shower facilities, are designed for the worker who might ride, run or walk to work.

He said he was expecting a high level of interest given its location between the waterfront’s restaurants, brewery and boutique shops and the Bunbury CBD.
Marlston 36 includes three floors of office space totalling about 3,913sq m, six apartments and 117 secure car parking bays.
