THE girls at Eaton Primary School have reigned supreme in the Engineers Australia South West schools spaghetti tower competition.
Faith Walklett, Aria Power and Kiana Billett from the school took out the first three places in the competition which was judged last week at Edith Cowan University's Bunbury campus. Darcey Redman from Grace Christian School was fourth.
Students built their towers at school in the lead up to the event and had strict size and weight regulations they had to abide by. The only materials they were able to build their structures were spaghetti and glue.
The towers were tested by having sand was poured in to a plastic box on top of each one until it eventually failed.
Faith Walklett's winning tower weighed 70 grams and held a weight of 5445 grams for a weight load ratio of 77.79 grams while the second placed tower had a weight load ratio of 76.06.
