A BUNBURY woman played an unexpected role in international pop sensation Robbie Williams' concert at the Perth Arena on Friday night.
Rosa Maiolo has always been a huge fan of the cheeky British singer and decided to buy tickets to the concert with friends.
"I hadn't been to a concert in 10 years but I said to my friends 'If you don't come with me, I'll go on my own!'" Ms Maiolo told the Bunbury Mail.
She was enjoying the concert from the standing section close to the stage when Williams strutted past holding a cane and waved it at her.
"I raised an eyebrow at him and he did the same, my girlfriend said 'You've got his attention now!'"
When the song That's Amore came on, Williams requested for security to open up the gates and let Ms Maiolo onto the stage.
He then proceeded to ask her if she would like to be his "Show Biz Wife" and took her to an onstage alter to seal the deal, complete with a veil and priest.
Robbie told the crowd he had locked eyes with Ms Maiolo in the crowd and decided "there's a woman that can look after my fragile mind, my bruised ego."
She said she was not daunted to be onstage in front of thousands of people.
"When you're up there you don't even think about all the other people - it was surreal," Ms Maiolo said.
"By the time I was back in the crowd I was thinking oh my god, what just happened?
"I was thinking I wish I wasn't just his show biz wife, I wish I was his real wife!"
Ms Maiolo said she would watch out for the next time Williams tours Australia so she can be front and centre wearing the same red dress.
