Just before midnight, police attempted to perform a routine traffic stop on a white Holden Commodore on Minnimup Road in Withers.
The driver failed to stop and abandoned the car in Jacaranda Crescent before fleeing on foot.

Bunbury police acting officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Nick Hamer said the female owner of the car was arrested when she arrived at the scene and summonsed to court on non-driving related matters following a search of the car.
Investigations into the driver are continuing and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
