CYCLING: Dalyellup resident Peter de Bruyn is jumping on his bike next week and riding 400 kilometres over four days to raise money for Ronald McDonald House.
The ride will be de Bruyn’s first time participating in the ride from Bridgetown to Perth.
Funds raised from the ride will go towards the building of a new Ronald McDonald House to provide a home away from home for regional families of seriously ill children.
A keen road cyclist, de Bruyn said he decided to get involved because he thought the event was a great way to combine his love of cycling with a worthy fundraising cause.
The ride will be held between November 19 to 22 and aims to raise $1 million over three years.
