BEEF exporter Harvey Beef last week signed a landmark memorandum of agreement with the Noongar Employment and Enterprise Development Aboriginal Corporation.
The agreement will see employment opportunities for 30 local indigenous job seekers.
Operating in Harvey on traditional Noongar land since 1919, Harvey Beef’s processing facility employs 350 people servicing all of WA and exporting to more than 35 international markets.
Harvey Beef general manager Wayne Shaw said he was enthusiastic to be adding diversity and strength to his growing team.
The agreement will offer training positions across a number of roles for 30 employees over the first twelve months as well as providing cultural awareness programs.
