A FANTASTIC turnout at the Bunbury Mail Australia Day Fun Run saw many local athletes clocking impressive times around the Leschenault Inlet track.
Brad Scott took out first place in the open category of the five kilometre circuit with a time of 16 minutes and 37 seconds.
Courtney Butlion was the first five kilometre distance female to finish at 19 minutes and 18 seconds.
Five kilometre junior competitor Zeke Tinley crossed the line with a time of 18 minutes and 16 seconds.
Veteran competitor Greg Strachan came in second place with a time of 18 minutes and 14 seconds with super veteran runner Steve Giles not far behind at 18 minutes and 52 seconds.
The 10 kilometre race also turned out fantastic results with Peter Andrews taking out first place with a time of 33 minutes and 32 seconds.
The first female to complete the 10 kilometre race was Kelsey Valli in a time of 42 minutes and 48 seconds.
Local legend Lynette Ventris won the walking event with a time of 26 minutes and 1 second, competing in the super veteran category.
