CONCERT: Plenty of preparation for a national tour is necessary especially when there are four legendary artists coming together, but you wouldn't expect them to make their own costumes.
“I am currently sitting in a beautiful boutique in Melbourne beading my jacket for the show,” said leading female singer for the Apia Good Times Tour, Kate Ceberano.
This year’s third tour will feature a never-before-seen lineup of Aussie artists including Brian Cadd, Joe Camilleri and Glen Shorrock, who will take to the stage to sing some of their favourite songs.
“This show will be a rarefied beast because it is not often you come together and sings songs from five decades,” Ceberano said.
Bunbury should expect an outstanding show on May 3 at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre, because the stage veterans will perform a collection of well-known songs.
Speaking to entertainment, Ceberano said the journey over her 30 year career has been a wonderful rollercoaster ride.
One of her proudest achievements has been getting inducted into the song writing Hall of Fame and with more than 20 albums it is no wonder she has been nominated for seven ARIA awards.
Every gig is different for Ceberano and for every show it is important to make a lasting impression on the audience.
As a successful teacher, singer, songwriter, author and mother it is hard to understand how she juggles it all.
She didn’t have an answer to that – she just explained how hard she has worked.
“Sometimes you have to think you are crap because you have to earn it,” she said.
The advice Ceberano gave to young aspiring artists was that they have to start at the bottom and work hard for success.
Being a mother has been one of the most selfless and wonderful things Ceberano said she had done and with a supportive husband she can go on a tour and know her daughter will be well cared for.
You can catch the APIA tour on May 3 at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.
