Sometimes McDonalds is your only option.
Though kilojoule laden, the fast food chain has said it doesn't claim to be healthy.
"We don't claim to be a health-food shop. [We] claim that we have healthier choices," says McDonald's CEO Catriona Noble.
"We want people to know it's not junk food."
So if choosing a healthier option at your local pub doesn't have to be challenge, could the same be said for McDonalds?
To find out exactly what these healthier choices are, The Huffington Post asked nutritionists what they would order if McDonalds was their only option.
While some nutritionists went for something grilled and a piece of fruit or salad, the other answers may surprise you.
Here's what five of the nutritionists had to say.
Burger and salad
If a burger is what's on the menu "opt for a regular burger patty and swap out the fries for a side salad with low fat vinaigrette dressing, says nutritionist Katherine Brooking.
Otherwise, she suggests the premium southwest salad with grilled chicken.
Grilled sweet chilli chicken wrap, apple slices and a salad
If you have to eat McDonalds, pick something that will actually fill you up and add some fruit and a side salad.
Nutritionist Marjorie Nolan Cohn says: "I'd choose the sweet chilli chicken wrap because it's grilled chicken and I like chilli/sweet sauces."
A kids' meal with small fries, apple and yoghurt
If it's a low calorie meal you are after, a kids' meal contains less than 500 calories, says nutritionist Angela Ginn-Meadow.
"With this meal, the small portion size equals the right amount of calories for me. Plus it's adding a fruit and dairy serving for the day," she says.
Fries and a small chocolate thick shake
There's no point in worrying about nutrition when eating at the golden arches, "because it's not in the cards", says nutritionist Rebecca Scritchfield.
"I'd get fresh, hot fries (not wimpy cold ones) and a small chocolate shake. Why? If I'm famished, I need "quick energy" which I'll get from carbohydrates, but also because ... I actually enjoy fries and shakes," she says.
Premium southwest salad with grilled chicken
Interestingly, three out of the 10 nutritionists chose the southwest salad with grilled chicken.
Nutritionist Julie Upton says: "I would order that because I would get some veges, 7 grams of fibre for fullness and would not go overboard on refined carbs (from the buns). I also like that it has 29 grams of protein as I generally strive to get 25-30 grams protein in all of my three main meals every day."
Though it's not on the menu in Australia, a warm grilled chicken salad would be the next best thing.
