BEAUTIFUL quilting and patchwork from a talented group of people will be on display this weekend at the Stirling Street Arts Centre.
The Bunbury Patchwork and Quilting Group are excited to take guests “Under the microscope”, which is the theme at their biennial quilt exhibition.
Patchwork and Quilting group member Belinda Macri said the entries for this year’s competition have been of exceptional standard.
“This year’s international quilting challenge attracted entries from America, Canada, France and all around Australia,” she said.
Peg Pennell from the United States of America won first prize in the international quilt challenge and the second prize was won by Helen Wheeler from Busselton.
Visitors have the opportunity to enter the raffle to win a handmade quilt.
All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to local shark attack victim Sean Pollard.
“We have a connection to Sean Pollard and wanted to help out and we always pick a local charity,” Mrs Macri said.
The exhibition will be held this Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm and entry is $2.
The group meets every Monday at Stirling Street Arts Centre in Bunbury.
