FATHER and son Dave and Leo McDonald have joined the local roll of honour in raising money for Leukaemia Foundation and sacrificing their hair to do it.
The pair volunteered for the World’s Greatest Shave and went under the shaver at the Moora Farmerjacks on March 14.
Mr McDonald decided to join his son in taking up the shaver after his son did the shave last year as well.
Between them the McDonald’s raised more than $1000 for leukaemia research.
“There’s not many people in this world not affected by this cancer and I’m not that attached to my hair anyway,” Dave McDonald said.
Lauren Stribley and Jasmin Porter helped shave Leo’s hair.
The two women will shave their hair this Thursday at noon, outside the Moora Newsagents.
