The Easter Bunny could work up a sweat on Sunday with temperatures expected to be in the mid to high 20s.
Despite the warmer weather forecast for the Easter long weekend, Perth Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Angus Moore said the temperatures for this time of year were not unusual.
"It really is just transitional weather as we move from summer into autumn," he said.
"It will be pretty cloudy from Friday to Sunday with a surface trough lingering around."
Mr Moore said the weather could turn nasty on Monday, however, with a chance of a thunderstorm or showers in Perth, most likely in the northern and eastern suburbs.
He said the weather should be perfect for those heading to the South West, with temperatures expected to hover in the mid-20s.
Those thinking of heading further north to Broome will be in for some Easter-egg-melting hot weather with the temperature tipped to reach the high 30s over Easter.
Holiday-makers heading in the opposite direction to the Southern Ocean coastline near Esperance, can expect cooler weather with temperatures in the low 20s.
People planning to holiday a couple hours north of Perth in the small fishing town of Lancelin, can expect similar weather to the state's capital, with temperatures in the high 20s.
In the lead-up to Easter, the weather in Perth will be 25 degrees on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
