STUDENTS wrote personal messages on wooden crosses as a sign of respect for the Anzacs and planted them today at Bunbury Catholic College students.
Next Tuesday the crosses will be collected from the school grounds and sent to the Australian war memorial in Canberra where they will be shipped and planted on Australian soldiers graves all around the globe.
The idea came from humanities teacher Justine Bow when she saw Prime Minister Tony Abbott plant a cross at a war memorial.
BCC held their school mass in remembrance of the Anzacs and the planting of the crosses followed and all students were to remain silent throughout the entire proceeding.
