It was standing room only at Margaret River's Memorial Park as hundreds turned up to show their respect for those who paid the ultimate price in service to Australia.
It has been 100 years since the landing at Gallipoli but the spirit and courage of the Anzac soldiers echos through the ages.
Wreaths were laid by scouts, school children and members of the public to remember the dead and honour their sacrifice.
President of the Margaret River RSL Club, Keith Simmonds read a speech to commemorate the soldiers and reflect on the importance of memorial sites as most of the soldiers who fell in battle at Gallipoli are buried there.
He recited the words of Mustafa Kemal, who would later be known as Ataturk.
"You, the mothers who sent their sons from faraway countries, wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well," he said.
As the sun started to appear on the horizon The Last Post was played and a minutes silence observed.
An Anzac parade has been organised for 11.15am today.
The parade will start at Reuther Park before making its way to Memorial Park for a service.
