A FIRE that burned dangerously close to a school, aged care village and homes was believed to have been deliberately lit in Eaton yesterday.
Firefighters were called to the scene about 3.30pm and tackled the blaze for about an hour and a half at the back of Glen Huon Primary School near the Bethanie Fields aged care village.
Roads were blocked to traffic while the firefighters brought the blaze under control.
It was not believed to have caused any damage to buildings or homes.
