One man has been winched to safety after a boat capsized off the coast of Bunbury.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority detected an EPIRB signal two nautical miles off the coast at 10.20 WA time.
The RAC Rescue Helicopter was deployed from Perth and pulled a fisherman from the water.
It is believed the 4.5 metre runabout the EPIRB was registered too has capsized.
The rescue helicopter flew the man winched from the sea to Bunbury Regional Airport where he was met by an ambulance.
He is uninjured and being treated for exposure.
Bunbury Sea Rescue Commander James Armstrong said they were unsure why the fisherman's boat had capsized.
"The EPIRB saved his life – if he had been in the water for a long-time he would have got hyperthermia," Commander Armstrong said.
The Busselton Sea Search and Rescue boat was involved in the rescue because the Bunbury Sea Search and Rescue main boat was being serviced today.
The rescue comes after a man died in Mandurah on Thursday after his boat sunk.
