Ben Cousins walked out of court on Wednesday with a $2679 fine and a driving ban - but did the former West Coast Eagles champ also leave with a middle-fingered message for the media?
In a photograph in Thursday's The West Australian, Cousins (with a hint of a smirk) can be seeing approaching the waiting media scrum carrying a satchel bag, with the middle finger on his left hand extended in what would have to be described as an "awkward position".
Just an unfortunate accident? Or something more cheeky? Either way, Cousins certainly has form, having been fined $5000 (half-suspended) for giving a changeroom camera "the bird" while playing for Richmond against Fremantle.
