Nothing says: 'I love you' like the smell of burning rubber for a Merredin couple who would like to share their Mandurah wedding with a v8 burnout.
Burnouts at weddings seem to be trending lately with couples taking to Facebook to find private sealed roads to avoid breaking the law.
Bride-to-be Sarah Jones said she didn’t care about being called a bogan for an awesome photo.
“We both love v8s and burnouts so would love the ultimate photo of our special day,” she said.
“It probably is bogan, but who cares.”
Ms Jones said the wedding photographer would take the shot while their best man would drive the couple’s car.
“We would just like to be able to do this special photo without being in trouble with the law,” she said.
Peel senior sergeant Glen Willers said it was illegal to do a burnout on a public road and there was no such thing as a safe spot to do one.
“I’ve never heard of anything so ridiculous, it’s just childish,” he said.
Senior sergeant Willers recommends people not do it, anywhere in the region.
“You see hoon drivers killing people on the roads and others want to celebrate this activity at their wedding?” he said.
