GIG: Good music, good people, good vibes, BYO food and drink, picnic blankets and beanbags – what more could you want from a live music gig?
That’s what you can expect from the second edition of Good Nights on November 13.
In August, music fans packed into Bunbury’s iconic Red Mill Studio to enjoy the very first Good Nights gig.
The inaugural event was sold out with about 70 people filling the heritage building on Stirling Street to be entertained by Perth artist Davey Craddock and local upcoming talent Latehorse.
It’s the brainchild of Bunbury woman Kelsie Miller, who was keen to support emerging artists by presenting pop-up concerts in alternative venues across the city.
Her idea was brought to the community’s attention when she presented it at the first Bunbury Soup night in the hope of attracting funding.
Miss Miller said the crowd enjoyed a “chilled out vibe”, kicking back as if they were in their own living room listening to the artists’ sets.
“The beauty of Good Nights is that it caters to a demographic that is completely different to other live music venues in Bunbury,” she said.
“This means that it doesn't have to compete with those places already established.”
Good Nights Volume 2 will be headlined by Timothy Nelson, with sets by Luke Dux and Hannah Smillie. Tickets are $20 and they are on sale now.
The gig will be held at Rock n Roll High on Zoe Street on Friday, November 13.
