On WA Day, the State Basketball League North and South All-Star teams will battle it out on the court in the name of charity.
The June 6 match is aimed to raise valuable funds for Lifeline WA to keep people safe from suicide.
Players being named for the prestigious clash are starting to be unveiled with South West Slammer Dena English named as starting point-guard for the South Women All-Star side.
She has been named alongside Sami Whitcomb (Rockingham Flames), Ali Schwagmeyer (Lakeside Lightning), Candace Williams (Cockburn Cougars) and Louella Tomlinson (Willetton Tigers).
The starters for the North All-Star team are Ajay Jones (Perth Redbacks), Stacey Barr (Kalamunda Suns), Taylor Bestry (Stirling Senators), Klara Wischer (Joondalup Wolves) and Amber Land (Stirling Senators).
2016 has been a big season for English who has hit 121 points, 27 rebounds and eight steals in nine games.
Unfortunately the women’s Slammers side sit at the bottom of the ladder, still chasing their first win of the season.
The men All-Star teams have also been named with Slammer Tre Nichols named in the South Men’s team.
With players selected through a popular vote Nichols received 905 votes compared to the other four started who each received around 300 votes.
In season 2016 Nichols has racked up a massive 343 points, 72 rebounds and 15 steals from 11 games.
He was named alongside Kenny Manigault (Goldfields Giants), Najee Lane (Cockburn Cougars), Jacob Holmen (Goldfields Giants) and TJ Hallice (Lakeside Lightning).
The North All-Star starter are Bryton Hobbs (Perry Lakes Hawks), Matthew Adekponya (Geraldton Buccaneers), Ben Purser (Perry Lakes Hawks), Cody Ellis (Stirling Senators) and Kevin Davis (Joondalup Wolves).
The South West Slammers join the Cockburn Cougars, Goldfield Giants, Lakeside Lightning, Mandurah Magic, Willetton Tigers and Rockingham Flames in combining talent for the South All-Star team.
The North All-Star team selects players from the Geraldton Buccaneers, Kalamunda Suns, Joondalup Wolves, Stirling Senators, Perth Redback, East Perth Eagles and Perry Lake Hawks.
