The Paris Underground Cabaret is coming to the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Center for the first time to thrill audiences with their unique brand of European inspired entertainment.
The show is the brain child of experienced actors, magicians, directors and self-described theatrephiles Richard Vegas and Julie Madotti.
The pair incorporate their love for European burlesque and cabaret into a 90 minute performance during which Richard said absolutely anything can happen.
“The great thing about our show and what separates it from other shows is it’s complete unpredictability, the audience is never going to know from one moment to the next what is going to come out on the stage,” he said.
“There’s dancing, circus performances, danger, and magic, it really is variety theatre.”
Richard said the responses he gets from the audience are rewarding and fuel his passion for the art form.
“The show really is a journey and we as performers get just as much out of it as the audience will.”
“When people say to us it’s a great show it lets us know the entire performance is strong and we’re doing something special.
“As long as people can get some joy out of it, that’s what matters and especially out of the metro area people really appreciate the art form.”
The Paris Underground Cabaret comes to Bunbury Friday, July 22 for two shows and at the Margaret River Cultural Centre for one show on Saturday, July 23.
