The Shire of Dardanup has confirmed the new Eaton Foreshore nature playground will open during the July school holidays.
Located on Pratt Road, Eaton, the playground forms part of the Shire’s Eaton Foreshore redevelopment.
From Saturday, July 9, children will have fun exploring the dry creek bed, climbing logs, treehouse and wide range of play equipment.
There’s a path around the boundary for scooters and plenty of relaxed seating – all set against the stunning backdrop of the Collie River foreshore area in Eaton.
Shire of Dardanup director of engineering and development services Luke Botica said he had been over-whelmed by the level of community interest in the playground.
“With our new nature playground, we’ve not only delivered something that will be enjoyed by residents within our shire but I’m sure will also prove a drawcard with families travelling from neighbouring areas to use our facilities,” Mr Botica said.
“That kind of visitor activity will no doubt have positive flow-on effects for businesses operating in the Shire of Dardanup.”
