The Vestrum Women’s fun run and walk will celebrate its 10th anniversary on August 7. This popular women’s only event caters for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities with an aim to improve health and fitness.
To celebrate the anniversary, the first 800 entrants will receive a commemorative shirt. There is also a free training program is underway for participants who register for the event.
This will be the first year a princess run and walk will be held for girls under eight years of age.
Event organiser Gail Falloon said the Bunbury Runners Club committee always donate the proceeds from the event to a local organisation. This year the South West Refuge and Nixi Teens will be beneficiaries.
“This event is non-competitive as we believe everyone is a winner for taking part and finishing the event,” she said. “But there will be 10 spot prizes of $100 and two pairs of running shoes from Saucony and Athletes Foot to give away during the presentations.”
Register before August 4 at bunburyrunnersclub.org.
