A 32-year-old man will appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court on Saturday morning as a result of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of amphetamine linked to volume crime in the South West District.
Police from Bunbury and the South West Crime and Intelligence Coordination Unit executed a misuse of drugs search warrant on a residence in Stirton Court, South Bunbury on Friday, July 22.
It is alleged that during the search police located and seized approximately 25.5 grams of amphetamine, a loaded sawn off .22 calibre rifle, a 12 gauge shot gun, approximately 80 grams of cannabis, 428 rounds of various ammunition, over $28,000 cash and unlawfully obtained property.
The man from South Bunbury has been charged with;
- Four counts of Possess Ammunition – Unlicensed
- Two counts of Possess Implement – (Amphetamine/Cannabis)
- One count of Possess Prohibited Drug with Intent – Amphetamine
- One count of Possess Prohibited Drug with Intent – Cannabis
- One count of Aggravated Possession of a Firearm
- One count of Possess Firearm – Unlicensed
- One count of Receiving
- One count of Unlawful Possession – Cash
- One count of Possess Amphetamine
- One count of Possess Cannabis
- One count of Possess Prohibited Plant – Cannabis
Five other people will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date on drug offence charges.
