The junior members of the Bunbury City Bulls Rugby club took the bullring on Sunday looking great in their new team kits.
Sponsored by Hogs Breath cafe, the players had endured a long wait for their new uniforms after a cyclone in Fiji held up their delivery for a few weeks.
Junior players across a number of grades took to the field to show off their improving hand-eye coordination, ball-handling skills and solid teamwork.
The club’s under 15s travelled to Rockingham where they were narrowly beaten 35-31 with the lead changing hands a number of times.
In the end it was Rockingham’s pack playing the scrums and lineouts well that made the difference.
Across town the under 17s played their first game against Associates and ploughed through to secure a 43-14 win.
