Dalyellup College Certificate II Building and Construction Pathways students recently had the opportunity to develop their restrictive height scaffolding skills.
Given on-site work experienced has helped to support the development of outcomes required to erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding.
This is important skill that allows students, once qualified to provide work platforms for various occupational applications and includes placement of safety barriers and modular scaffolding restricted to a height of four metres.
Year 11 student Mitchell Boyle said it was good to have a day to put practical skills to the test and being able to participate out of school made ti feel more real.
VET design and technology teacher Matthew Depiazzi said the students who participated demonstrated a great work ethic and willingness to get involved.
Mr Depiazzi also added his thanks to Les Dykstra from Construction On Site Training and Brad Tootle from Southwest Access Scaffolding for their support.
