A person has died and another has serious injuries following a crash on Great Northern Highway.
Police say a single vehicle crashed around 10km east of the Pardoo Roadhouse near Port Hedland on Saturday morning. Initial reports said a number of people were trapped in the wreckage.
The highway was closed in both directions.
