Tennis coach and commentator Roger Rasheed is in Bunbury to expose young tennis players to the rigors of elite tennis performance.
Mr Rasheed along with elite tennis athletes will be working to improve the skills of young players as well as academy coaches.
Mr Rasheed said they would be teaching proper off and on court behaviour and the values of being prepared.
“They’ll learn proper organisational skills and positive habits so they don’t waste time and get the most out of their court time,” he said.
“Everyone will take something different away from this.”
Mr Rasheed also said the young athletes were luck to be given an opportunity like this.
“When I was coming up I didn’t have this, but I had athletes that were ahead of me and took me under their wing,” he said.
“This is about what makes the whole vehicle move.”
David and Trina Eagles of McDonald’s Bunbury, Bunbury Forum, Dalyellup and Treendale and Grant and Amanda Smith of McDonald’s Eaton and Collie have worked tirelessly to get Mr Rasheed to Bunbury for the program.
A meet and greet has been planned for all community members on December 14 at 6.00pm at Bunbury Tennis Club where Roger will be having a hit and along with a question and answer.
