A man has been charged following a fatal crash at Hallidays Point on Tuesday.
About 5.45pm on Tuesday, a 60-year-old man was riding a BMW motorcycle east along Blackhead Road at Hallidays Point.
About 300 metres from the intersection with The Lakes Way the motorcycle and a four wheel drive collided.
The motorcycle rider was thrown from his machine and appears to have died immediately.
Officers from Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command attended and commenced inquiries.
The driver of the car, a 55-year-old man, was treated initially at the scene for shock and then conveyed to Taree Police Station.
Following investigations, the driver was arrested and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death and drive with low range prescribed concentration of alcohol.
He is due to appear at Taree Local Court on Tuesday February 28.
