Before this weekend’s Harvey Harvest Festival kicks off, the Big Orange was given an important facelift.
Sitting atop a 10 metre tower, the Big Orange in Harvey is one of the South West’s major attractions.
A fresh coat of paint was applied to the orange on Thursday with the help of Ruth McWilliam from MAXIpickers and Danny Savic from Go Natural Painting.
MAXIpickers managing director Ruth McWilliam said the task of painting the orange was a big one but the end result looks great.
Her business is also currently a contender to take out a national prize in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards.
More than 1400 businesses from across the nation entered with MAXIpickers named a finalist in the specialised small business category.
Winners will be announced at a presentation dinner on Saturday, April 1 at The Westin Sydney Grand Ballroom.
Anyone planning to visit the Harvey Harvest Festival this weekend is also welcome to visit the Big Orange for a stunning view across the region.
Entry is a gold coin donation to Telethon.
