EARLIER: Day time TV viewers in Western Australia have been cut off from their regular programming with a satellite issue taking GWN7, West Digital and WIN off-air.
GWN reported a microwave link failure in Sydney has resulted in no input to the satellite, taking the three commercial stations off air on Monday afternoon.
Fairfax Media understands technicians are working to fix the fault in the eastern states which has been described as severe.
At 1.30pm on Monday, GWN reported they hoped to have the problem fixed by 2.30pm.
